Carl-Johan Blomqvist’s life’s work  awarded at the Power Truck Show

At this year’s major Finnish truck event, the Power Truck Show in Alahärmä, Powder-Trans’s founder and chairman Carl-Johan Blomqvist was awarded the Elämäntyö award for his life’s work. He received the award for his decades of service to the transport industry.

Carl-Johan Blomqvist’s contributions to the world of vintage trucks were also on display for the event’s audience as he participated in the exhibition with two of his restored vintage trucks. This time on display was the Scania LBS 76 bulk truck from the 1960s, which he had completed for the company’s recently celebrated 50th anniversary, and the Volvo F 12 bulk truck from the 1970s, previously known to the vintage truck audience.

The major Finnish truck event Power Truck Show once again attracted a large audience of 32,000 visitors over two days. A total of 150 exhibits showcased the products and services of the truck industry. This year’s vehicle exhibition had a record number of vehicles on display, amounting to 502 in many ways customised truck combinations. The model car show also set a new record with 106 self-built miniature vehicles.

The long-running Power Truck Show will be held again next year on 11-12.8.2023 at Powerpark in Alahärmä, Finland.
