The Powder-Trans Group is continuing its commitment to enable increasingly environmentally friendly operations. This summer, another fully electric forklift was delivered to the company’s warehouse operations in Lieto, Finland. From before, the trucks used at the warehouse in Landskrona, Sweden, are electrically powered.
The new forklift used in the Lieto terminal is of the Hyundai brand and has been delivered by Finnsiirto Oy.
The goal is to have our entire forklift fleet electrically powered in order to achieve environmentally friendly operations in the warehouses as well, and thus achieve the environmental goals in all our logistical stages,” says CEO Fredrik Blomqvist.
Powder-Trans has already for several years to a significant extent been self-sufficient through environmentally friendly electricity production using solar panels on the roof of the warehouse in Lieto. This year, the company has also the target of 100% of its fleet of 120 vehicles having the highest Euro 6 environmental standard.
